The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking #1) by Patrick Ness

The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1)
Blurb (from Goodreads):
Imagine you can hear everything the town of men say about you. And they can hear everything you think. Imagine you don't fit into their plans. Todd Hewitt is just one month away from the birthday that will make him a man. But his town has been keeping secrets from him. Secrets that are going to force him to run.

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1)This was a YA sci-fi story about a boy who lived in a world where men broadcasted their thoughts constantly, and there were no women.

Todd was an okay character, although the way he kept hitting his dog, and his constant double negatives drove me nuts.

The storyline in this was about Todd discovering something and being forced to leave his town because of it, and then having the town come after him! There was a bit of mystery surrounding what exactly was going on, and quite a few twists which kept things interesting, although the book did start to feel really long towards the end.

The ending to this was a bit annoying, as things just seemed to be getting worse rather than better.

7 out of 10
