Blurb (from Goodreads):
Logan, still reeling from the death of his closest friend, has reunited with his parents. He has escaped Thomas Gerard and the estate, but he knows it isn’t over. Gerard will come after them all again. He won’t stop at just one attack.
As if that wasn't enough, Logan can't shake his growing feelings for Pepper. But when the girl you have a crush on is the vampire who slaughtered a man in front of you, things can get a little complicated. And complications are the last thing Logan needs. As he’s drawn into the search for Pepper's remaining family, what they don’t know is that Pepper’s sister is alive and on a search of her own.
And what none of them know is that Thomas Gerard may not be their only threat.

This was a YA paranormal story, featuring supernatural creatures.
Firstly, I have to say that I am so glad that (highlight to view spoiler - Zane bought Penny back from the dead! Even if she is some weird kind of zombie, I’m glad that she isn’t dead! )[ Zane bought Penny back from the dead! Even if she is some weird kind of zombie, I’m glad that she isn’t dead! The storyline in this was about Zane and Penny, and in alternating chapters, Logan, Pepper, and Gena. We had Penny and Zane trying to figure out what exactly Penny was, and Logan, Pepper, and Gena trying to track down Pepper’s family. We did eventually get all the gang back together again though, although I found the second half of the story less entertaining than the first half, and I lost interest a bit.
The ending to this was okay, although I did feel really sorry for Logan.
