Blurb (from Goodreads):
I had no idea GirlOnline would take off the way it has - I can't believe I now have 5432 followers, thanks so much! - and the thought of opening up to you all about this is terrifying, but here goes...
Penny has a secret.
Under the alias GirlOnline, she blogs about school dramas, boys, her mad, whirlwind family - and the panic attacks she's suffered from lately. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets the gorgeous, guitar-strumming Noah. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.
But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a good YA contemporary romance story, and I was pleased we got a happy ending!
I really liked Penny, she did have her dodgy moments, and she seriously said the wrong things at times, but I could empathise with her a little. I really felt for her when it came to her friend Megan – what an absolute b*tch she was!
The storyline in this was pretty good, although it was a little predictable at times. I liked it overall though, and towards the end I really didn’t want to put it down and go to bed! I got really sucked into Penny’s story, and I really wanted things to go right for her, even if it seemed against the odds.
The romance in this was pretty good, although I liked Noah a lot more than Ollie! I really didn’t see what Penny saw in him at all, and I was glad when she realised that he wasn’t who she thought he was.
The ending to this was definitely the best part of the book. I did worry that we were going to get left with a cliff-hanger, but thankfully we didn’t, and we instead got a happy ending! Yay! I Loved the little twists we got at the end, obviously Penny’s love for twisty endings is something Zoe likes too ;)
